The Collection

carpets and rugs      halls 13, 16, 19

The collection of the museum of carpets and rugs is completely unique . It includes Turkish carpets, and rugs made in the centers of Anatolia of which Turkish prayer rugs of Ladilc , Kula and Giordes types  of the carpets Ushaq , Modjur , Bergama and Transiliania .

Of the Persian and Quqazian carpets the collection includes some famous types such as Kerman , Qarabagh , Ferhan , Shirvan , Isfahan , Kazak , Sumarkand , Quba Qugaz ,heart and shiraz .

In 1948 the museum purchased the unique collection of carpets of Dr. Ali pasha Ibrahim.
